Social Media Code of Conduct
The Respiratory Care Society of Washington (RCSW) provides social media (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn) as a means for respiratory professionals to discuss current events in respiratory care. We encourage users to engage in respectful dialog.
By using this and other RCSW Internet sites (RCSW.org, etc.) you agree to the terms outlined herein. If at any time, you have questions regarding these terms, please feel free to message our page administrators/webmasters. We, the RCSW, have established the following guidelines to ensure that these online forums provide a positive environment for the free exchange of ideas.
1. Be Respectful.
The RCSW provides this page as a means to disseminate information and provide a forum for dialog. Content may be posted here to stimulate conversation. Please be respectful when discussing content. We expect users to be professional and avoid defamatory remarks of any kind. Personal attacks, hate speech, and profane, obscene, abusive, inflammatory, and/or disrespectful content will not be tolerated. The RCSW reserves the right to delete any content that does not meet these guidelines at any time. The RCSW also reserves the right to ban users from posting if the code of conduct is not followed.
2. Protect the privacy of yourself and others.
Do not post personal information (phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses, etc.). Additionally, please respect HIPAA guidelines and refrain from posting patient information.
3. Respect intellectual property and copyright.
Do not post the content of others and represent it as your own. Please link to original articles / content and source your material as appropriate.
4. This is a public forum.
The RCSW is not responsible for content and/or opinions posted by others on this page.
5. These pages ae monitored by the RCSW.
The RCSW reserves the right to monitor this page and moderate content on this page as it deems necessary. This includes the removal of posts that are deemed inappropriate at any time.
